Alabama Shakes was fantastic as always. I first saw them on their initial US tour, I believe it was in 1979. The lineup included Alabama Shakes, Ted Nugent, and the Scorpions. They never fail to impress. I've attended five of their shows since then. When they return, I will certainly be in attendance!
I had high hopes for Cheap Trick, having seen them before, although it's been some time. The last occasion was in 1985 at the Nichols State University Gym. They were impressive back then, and I have always been a fan. They did not disappoint this time either.
I was fully prepared to not enjoy Poison's performance. I have never been a fan of theirs. By the time they gained popularity, I was put off by their childish lyrics and excessive makeup. However, they pleasantly surprised me. They were entertaining! While I could have done without "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," a song I despise, overall, it was a thumbs-up experience.
